Youth Instructor – Reading So Lit Summer

Barbershop Books is seeking male high school students of color (ages 16–18) to serve as Youth Instructors for Reading So Lit Summer. Youth Instructors lead small-group virtual reading sessions, support students’ development, and serve as positive reading role models while gaining hands-on experience in teaching and mentorship. This is a paid, seasonal opportunity to build leadership skills and make a meaningful impact in the lives of young readers.

Certified Educator – Reading So Lit Summer

Barbershop Books is seeking experienced, certified teachers to serve as Certified Educators for Reading So Lit Summer. In this role, educators coach and mentor Youth Instructors, providing instructional guidance and feedback while supporting their professional growth and helping ensure a high-quality, engaging literacy experience for all participants.
