Director of Development and Communications
Barbershop Books, Inc. is hiring a Director of Development and Communications. This role involves overseeing fundraising, development, communications, and volunteer coordination. The director will also create a unified fundraising strategy. Ideal candidates should be experienced, diligent, and share the company’s values, with a proven history in donor engagement, grants management, and leadership. This NYC-based role reports to the Executive Director and involves travel. The salary ranges from $120K-$135K, based on experience.
Philadelphia Program Coordinator
Barbershop Books, Inc. is hiring a Philadelphia Program Coordinator. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Philadelphia Program Coordinator will provide program support to a network of barbershop partners in Philadelphia and coordinate program events and volunteer opportunities. We’re seeking an entrepreneurial, and outgoing Philadelphia resident who possesses a passion for education and for cultivating relationships with diverse community stakeholders including but not limited to business owners, barbers, parents, educators, and nonprofit leaders.
