We’re helping the babies read…
Barbershop Books, our namesake program, leverages a national network of barbershop partners to inspire Black boys and other vulnerable children to identity as readers and to read for fun.
Reading So Lit is reading identity exploration and assessment platform for preK-5 that helps students better understand their reading identity and articulate their reading preferences. This strengths-based tool generates actionable data that helps educators curate culturally responsive content, personalize reading instruction, and accelerate learning.
The Barbershop Books E-Library features a diverse collection of fun storytime videos and independently published e-books by Black and Brown authors.
