Barbershop Books founder and Chief reading inspirer Alvin Irby was a guest on the Lurie Daniel Favors Show. Lurie Daniel Favors is a racial justice attorney, author and non-profit leader. Her show examines race, gender, identity and law with a goal to use knowledge to empower her listeners to take action in their communities. Alvin and Lurie discussed the origins of Barbershop Books and the importance of encouraging Black boys to read for fun.
